Claims submissions for temporary and permanent telehealth services

Thank you for your continued support in treating our members. We truly appreciate you!

There have been a number of ForwardHealth Updates that have been focused on ensuring your patients – our members – are able to receive the necessary medical and behavioral health care treatments needed during this difficult time.

MHS Health Wisconsin is aligning with the ForwardHealth Updates regarding both permanent and temporary telehealth services.

  • Permanent telehealth services: All topic #510 telehealth codes representing permanent telehealth policy including the newly instituted inpatient, nursing home, e-visit, and telephone E&M codes must follow the Claims Submission For Telehealth Services Guideline. 
           
  • Temporary telehealth services: It is suggested that all other services now being provided via telehealth under the temporary flexibilities of Executive Order 72 should follow the Claims Submission for Services Allowable Under Temporary Telehealth Guidance.
